I’m Rahat, the founder of Watchient.
I first got into watches by randomly coming across a subreddit called /r/watches. And after devouring the the top posts of all times… I was hooked.
I needed to get my first mechanical watch so after spending a few weeks of in-depth research, I finally pulled the trigger on the SARB017, which was ordered straight from Japan.

And she was beautiful.
I fell in love with the green sunburst dial and the amount of detail that Seiko put into this beautiful timepiece.
Now although the SARB017 gets the most wrist time, here are some other watches I like to occasionally wear on special days.

Now on to why this site was designed…
I created this site as a go-to resource for people looking into mechanical watches. Hours of research goes into each review and each article. We then have one of our authors to double-check each article to make sure it’s as accurate as possible.
That’s all for now but if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out here and I will personally respond back.
Enjoy your watch in good health,
P.S. If you haven’t already, please do sign up to the free opt-in box below. We post regular general topics on mechanical watches as well as in-depth reviews, so you may find something that catches your eye while scrolling through your inbox.
